Havana Heritage Society tours historic Mays Farm

Last Thursday, members of the Havana Heritage Society and Museum toured one of the region’s oldest, longest-standing active farms last week – the Mays family farm. The agricultural roots of the Mays farm stretch back to the 19th century, when the Mays first settled in North Florida. Members explored rustic agricultural buildings on the Mays farm – relics of Gadsden County’s legendary shade tobacco industry.
