At a special meeting May 24, Greensboro’s town council and mayor interviewed former Gadsden County Administrator Robert Presnell for the town’s open town manager job.
The mayor and council interviewed Presnell for more than 30 minutes. Council members said they were extremely impressed with “not only his [Presnell’s] body of work but also his work ethic.”
“We couldn’t have designed anyone better for the position,” said one of the council members. Another suggested the council make Presnell an offer and begin negotiations.
Presnell said that he had suddenly received another job offer in the time between being invited to interview and would like some time to consider it.
The council members said they would talk with him again before finalizing details in their offer of the job. Presnell is currently the only candidate vying for the position.
