Proposed transportation improvement projects for Gadsden County

The Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency presented its proposals for improving transportation in the Big Bend region at a series of public meetings last week, including one in Gadsden County May 23.

The proposals include improvements to roadways, airports, pedestrian and bicycle access, and public transit in Gadsden and surrounding Big Bend counties. The agency will vote on adoption of the projects at its June 18 board meeting, 1:30 p.m. in the City of Tallahassee Commission Chambers, 300 S. Adams St. The meeting is open to the public, and citizens are invited to weigh in on the project proposals one final time before the vote.

All comments should be received by Friday, June 15.
