Judging by the vastness of the crowds and the smiles on festival-goers’ faces, PumpkinFest number 20 – this past weekend in downtown Havana – proved a “smashing” success. Thousands of locals and visitors filled the streets, sidewalks and shops; scores of vendors set up shop; rocking music acts wowed crowds; and even the governor himself – Ron DeSantis showed up downtown Saturday to join in the fun and revelry, with wife and two youngsters in tow.
