Track Standout Trentorria Green

Gadsden County High School’s Trentorria Green placed first in the long jump and the triple jump in the Jimmy Everett Relays at Lincoln High School on Saturday.

Munroe Girls’ Tennis

After having to replace four starters from 2017, the Munroe girls’ tennis team stands at 2-1 on the season.

The team has one junior, two freshmen and two eighth-graders on the squad.

The Bobcats, coached again by Martha Thomas, defeated Madison County 6-1 last week.

Junior Emily Anderson and eighth-graders Elizabeth Keer and Lawson Murray picked up singles and doubles wins over Madison County in the match.

The team will be resume play after Spring Break at Florida High on March 23.

Track-and-Field

Boys

The Gadsden County High School boys’ track- and-field team placed sixth out of 14 teams on Saturday at the Jimmy Everett Relays at Lincoln High School.

Standouts for Gadsden County included:

• Lamontrez Jackson – 6th, 100 meters; 4th. 200 meters.

• Dontrell Hall – 4th, 30-meter hurdles.

• Randall Copeland – 4th, Shotput.

•  Marquise Taylor – 6th, Shotput.

•  Falonda Lewis – 7th, Shotput.

• Jimmy Hester – 4th, Long Jump.

• Rich Koleion – 7th, Long Jump.

Girls

The girls’ team finished seventh overall at the Jimmy Everett Relays.

Standouts included:

• Hennekual Gunn – 8th, 400 meters.

• Khamryn Richardson – 8th, Shotput.

• Trenorria Green – 1st, Long Jump; 1st, Triple Jump.
