Kylecovey Smith, of Midway, a 19-year-old second-year history major at Florida A&M who graduated from Gadsden County High School, recently published a book, “Voyages of the 997.”
Smith began his journey as a writer at the age of eight years old while attending Stewart Street Elementary School in Quincy.
Smith says he was encouraged to write by an energetic and brilliant intern, Tina Fitzgerald.
Smith’s motto is, “If you can believe it, dream it and put in the time and effort to make things happen, so nothing is impossible.”
Smith believes in this motto, and he has continued to use his gift of writing to bring excitement, joy and fun to readers of his adventure stories.
