Sheriff’s offices around Florida’s Big Bend region are teaming up to fight crime through an operation dubbed “Deputies Without Borders.”
Gadsden , Leon, Wakulla, Taylor and Liberty counties will share resources and offer each other assistance in cases, especially those that reach across county lines.
At a luncheon and media announcement last week at the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Gadsden County Major Shawn Wood said Gadsden County deputies are “elated” to be a part of the operation.
“Criminals don’t have borders or boundaries; therefore, this joint collaboration will enable all counties involved to utilize each other as a source of support to make our communities better and safer,” Major Wood said.
