Bobcats best Tallavana in boys’ baseball

Munroe topped Tallavana Christian, 19-0, in a District 1-2A baseball game Thursday at home at Bradford May Field in Quincy.

Ben Fletcher got credit for the win by striking out four and allowing no hits.

Jackson Boone and Tripp Alford led the hitters as each spanked three hits with Boone planking a double and driving in three runs and Alford plat- ing a pair of runs.

The Bobcats also lost at May Field Friday 10-4 to Wakulla Christian.

Boone drove in two runs with a hit in that game and Steven Burdick also had a Munroe hit.

The Bobcats hosted Poplar Springs Tuesday.

They play at Aucilla today (Thursday) before hosting Rickards Monday.

They will play a return game at Poplar Springs next Tuesday (April 24).

Gadsden County High lost both their encounters last week, dropping a 10-0 decision to Godby on Tuesday and a 15-3 game to Rickards on Friday.

The Jaguars hosted Bethlehem Tuesday and will entertain Godby at Corry Field in Quincy today.

Gadsden County will play a double-header at Laural Hill on Saturday.
