Celebrating the holidays, Havana-style – WinterFest 2023 transforms Downtown Havana into Wonderland.

Havana Main Street’s annual Winter Festival drew a huge crowd this year to celebrate the holiday season in the town’s historic district.

Featuring a parade, snow to play in, and 70 vendors offering food and shopping, the event offered a fun day for all who attended.

The festival was held on Saturday, December 9, and began with a snow machine depositing real snow near Off the Rails Irish Pub at 10:30 a.m. for children (and adults) to play in.

70 vendors along the streets and parking lots offered a wide variety of food, drink, snacks, toys, arts and crafts, face painting, and more.

Free horse and carriage rides were offered courtesy of Prime EMS, along with Hay rides, a petting zoo sponsored by local merchants, and a visit from Santa, courtesy of Winters Animal Hospital.

One of the highlights of the day was a lawnmower parade, beginning at 1 p.m., which featured not only ride-on lawn mowers decorated for the holidays, but also an assortment of trucks, classic cars, motorcycles, golf carts, and Santa himself, riding in a horse-drawn carriage.
