Easter in Gadsden – The annual Helicopter Easter Drop hosted by Direct Auto Exchange draws hundreds of families from around the county and surrounding areas

Direct Auto Exchange hosted its annual Helicopter Easter Egg Drop at Gadsden County High School on Saturday..

The event, held the day before Easter,  drew hundreds of families from around the county and surrounding areas.

Twenty thousand colorful, plastic Easter eggs filled with candy and toys were dropped from the sky onto the school’s football field.

Soon after, children excitedly dashed onto the field scooping up as many of the eggs as they could.

There were several raffle drawings and prizes given away during the event.

The dealership gave away 10 bicycles, five $100 bills, two $250 gift cards, Easter baskets, activity books and much more.

Free meals consisting of hot dogs, chips and drinks were also provided.

The Easter Bunny and Tyrone the Mascot even stopped by for the fun-filled afternoon.
