Elephant rescuer speaks to Quincy Garden Club

At a recent meeting, the Quincy Garden Club heard from Buckley, who has been in the business of rescuing elephants for 43 years. Her organization is called Elephant Aid International. Buckley’s organization bought around 850 acres of land in Attapulgus, Ga., and will soon start a second elephant refuge in Tennessee. The Georgia land was purchased from the Laslie Family.
