Four vehicles stolen from Havana Ford

Four juvenile suspects were taken into custody on Saturday night and charged with stealing four vehicles from Havana Ford.

After Florida Highway Patrol had chased three of the suspects in a vehicle from the Capital Regional Gadsden Memorial Campus in Quincy, a short time later deputies with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash involving a vehicle with the suspects on Lanier Road. Once there at the scene, deputies determined the car had been abandoned.

A resident reported to the sheriff’s office that three juveniles were laying in a ditch off Lanier Road just north of two of the abandoned vehicles.

The caller told dispatchers he offered to help the young men, but the boys jumped up and ran off.

Officers with the Havana Police Department saw the juveniles walking on Lanier Road and took them into custody. After further investigation, police determined that a fourth suspect was involved in the car thefts, and he was arrested a short time later.
