The Friends of the Gadsden County Public Library are sponsoring their first Julia Munroe Woodward Essay Contest for high school seniors enrolled in a Gadsden County school.
The winner of this contest will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college/university, community college, technical school or police academy of his/her choice.
The deadline for submissions is April 2.
Application packets may be obtained from school guidance counselors, senior class advisors, or from the Gadsden County Public Library at 732 Pat Thomas Parkway in Quincy.
