From local stages to Times Square: Kaila Lee Jones’ inspiring journey of beauty and purpose

In the words of Coco Chanel, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”

Kaila Lee Jones, embodies this philosophy, radiating beauty from within and sharing it with the world.

Born and raised in Tallahassee to Linda Jones and the late J.B. Jones and Willie A. Lee, Jones now resides in Quincy, Florida, alongside her supportive husband, Jimmie Jones.

In July, she graced the stage as a contestant in the North America Beauty Pageant, hosted at the Avanti Palms Resort on International Drive in Orlando.

Beyond the glamor, Jones used her platform to champion causes close to her heart, focusing on elder care and supporting the Heart Association.

For Jones, beauty extends beyond appearances, finding its roots in the passion she holds for community service.

“I’ve always done volunteer work,” she shares. “Being active with the Senior Citizens Center and Second Harvest has been fulfilling, but holding a title gave me a platform and a larger audience.”

Her journey into pageantry began at the age of eight, evolving through her college years at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Looking ahead, Jones plans to continue her pageant journey for another year while gradually transitioning into the world of modeling.

Recognized as one of the top 50 beautiful models in the nation, a billboard feature in Times Square, and participation in New York Fashion Week mark just a few highlights of her burgeoning modeling career.

Notably, Jone proudly represented her title as Ms. Florida North America during the 2023 FAMU Homecoming Parade, and even more recently , Havana’s The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade.

Grateful for her accomplishments, she acknowledges the unwavering support of her husband, Jimmie Jones, her immediate family, and her pageant coach, Kea Middleton, whom she considers a sister queen.
