Fugitives Captured

Gadsden County Sheriff ’s Office SWAT team captures couple in Quincy that were wanted in relation to shooting that injured one inside Georgia Dollar General store.

A man and a woman wanted in connection with the firing an AK-47 rifle into a Dollar Gen- eral Store in Georgia were arrested in Quincy Thursday, May 29. One of the bullets fired into the store struck one of the building’s occupants.

According to the Gadsden County Sheriff ’s Office, Alana Kirkpatrick and Jesus M. Rodriguez, who were both wanted on felony warrants from the State of Georgia, were arrested following a manhunt by a 150officer Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team

he SWAT team, acting on what the Sheriff’s Office called “credible intelli- gence,” located the pair at a home in the 90 block of Sarge’s Lane in Quincy, where they were both arrested.

Gadsden County Sheriff’s officers began their search for the fugitives after being contacted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, which asked for their assistance.

The Sheriff ’s Office reports that both suspects have lengthy criminal histories that include previous weapons charges
