Gadsden County Public Schools to host first community meeting of the school year

Superintendent Elijah Key, Jr., is recently announced the commencement of his annual Community Meeting initiative for the 2023-2024 school year. The first of the community engagement events will be held at the esteemed New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Havana on September 19 at 6 p.m.

These community meetings provide an opportunity for parents, guardians, educators, and concerned citizens to come together and engage in open dialogue about the present and future of Gadsden County Schools.

“We believe that collaboration between the school district and the community is essential for the success of our students,” said Superintendent Key. “These annual community meetings are an integral part of our commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and fostering a strong sense of shared responsibility for the education of our children.”

The superintendent said your voice matters, and your presence at this event is crucial in shaping the direction of education in Gadsden County.
