According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the unemployment rate for Gadsden County dipped from 4.8 percent in February to 4.3 percent in April.
The regional unemployment rate for Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties was 3.2 percent for April 2018, down from 3.6 percent in February.
Wakulla County’s unemployment rate remained the lowest in the Capital Region at 2.9 percent (3.3 percent in February). Leon County followed at 3.2 percent (3.5 percent in February).
There were 6,096 unemployed residents in the Capital Region in April.
