Havana Kiwanis Club members gathered on April 12 to serve the community upward of some 275 meals. Barbecued chicken and shredded pork — along with cole slaw, beans, desserts and drinks — rounded out the meals. The Kiwanis Club uses the receipts from the barbecue to help fund its several college scholarships, its 100-plus Christmas dinner baskets and other projects that enrich the Havana community.
