High school basketball season ends for county schools

Both Gadsden County high schools that had advanced in the state boys’ basketball playoffs lost Tuesday night to end the county’s 2017-18 season.

Gadsden County High School lost a grueling 51-47, double-overtime game at Pensacola Catholic in the 5-A bracket.

Meanwhile, a tall-and-talented Impact Christian team from Jacksonville schooled Crossroad Charter Academy, 62-38, in the 2-A bracket at the West Gadsden gym in Greensboro.

Gadsden High finished the year with a 13-15 record while Crossroad finished at 21-6.
