The Gadsden County High School Jaguars will compete in a spring football jamboree at 6 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee.
Gadsden will take on Florida A & M University High in a half of action, followed by a half against Leon. Gasdsden County HighSchool head coach Shannon Faison has 30 players out for the varsity team this spring, including a number of lettermen.
“We’ve been working hard, and I’m looking forward to see how we’re shaping up,” Faison said. “We are pretty big and talented up front, and we hope to see how our running game is coming along.” Gadsden plans to start senior Ja’heim Knight at quarterback.
“Jaheim has played well this spring. He is a very good prospect,” Faison said. Coach Faison has been on the Jaguar staff for five years, four of them prior to the East-West Gadsden High School merger.
