Legion braves Memorial Day rain, places 100 flags on veterans’ graves

Undeterred by passing rain showers, members of the Havana Post 84 American Legion and Unit 84 Auxiliary rose early Memorial Day morning to plant flags on veterans’ graves in Havana’s Woodlawn Cemetery.

Legion members placed 100 flags on the day of remembrance to honor those veterans that have passed away.

This and other projects are supported by Post 84 and Auxiliary Unit 84 in an effort to give back to the community and to support local veterans and their families.
