The official – or one might say the “unofficial” – start to the American football season was last Thursday when the Baltimore Ravens won a 17-16 game over the Chicago Bears in the annual Hall of Fame game.
This week, local interest teams begin their exhibition slate with a pair of games tonight (Thursday) and one tomorrow night.
At 7 p.m. tonight New Orleans will be at Jacksonville and Tampa Bay plays at Miami. Neither game is scheduled for national television but fans can check local listings to see if either game is televised in this area.
At 7:30 p.m. Friday Atlanta is in New York for a game with the Jets. That event will be aired nationally by the NFL Network.
