A Marianna man is dead after a crash on Interstate 10.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 11:25 p.m., the 26-year-old Mariana was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10. Due to unknown reasons, the SUV he was driging went off the north shoulder of Interstate 10 into a ravine near mile marker 163 in Chattahoochee.
The driver was critically injured and had to be cut out and moved from the vehicle by the Chattahoochee Fire and Rescue team. The driver of the SUV was transported to Gadsden Memorial Hospital.
He was pronounced dead at the Gadsden Memorial Hospital.
The Florida High Patrol was assisted at the scene by Chattahoochee Fire and Rescue, Gadsden County volunteer workers, and the Florida Department of Transportation.
Next of kin haf not been notified at the time the report was released on Sunday.
