Munroe student earns spot on prestigious national leadership forum

This summer, Jaddon Derico of Havana, a rising senior at the Robert F. Munroe Day School in Quincy, will join outstanding high school students from across the nation at the National Leadership Forum on National Security in Washington, D.C.

The unique academic and career-oriented development experience aims to enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom, according to program operator Envision. Derico was nominated to attend the forum due to his outstanding scholarship at Munroe School.

In addition to participating in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Derico also plays varsity basketball and football. With dreams of being a United States Marshal, Derico is looking forward to gaining the hands-on experience that the leadership forum provides.

Since 1985, Envision programs have served more than 800,000 students in more than 145 countries. The company says its programs are designed to help students develop the leadership, scholarship and career skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive college and career landscape.
