Obituary: Marcia McClain Boynton

Marcia McClain Boynton, 55, of Tallahassee, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018.

A daughter of the late Marvin McClain and Juanita Hanna LeCroy, who survives, she was born in Tallahassee on February 15, 1962.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her step-brother, Lance LeCroy and her grandfather, B.J. Hanna.

She was a branch manager with Manpower.

A member of Bethel Methodist Church, she enjoyed arts-and-crafts, decorating, going to yard sales, being at the beach and also keeping up with the newest trends in beauty and fashion.

She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile and a board member of Gadsden Technical Institute.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, James Alry Boynton; children, Jeremy Michael Boynton (wife, Amanda) and Jamie Michelle Boynton; grandchildren, James William Tipton and Jaxson Tillman Boynton; grandmother, Lois Hanna; stepfather, Charles LeCroy; uncles, Victor Hanna and Doyle Hanna; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John O. Boynton, III and Noreen Boynton; and numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and other extended family, including her step-siblings, Donna Thornton Luke (husband, Vance), Tommy LeCroy and Tara LeCroy Parsons.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Abbey Funeral Home.

The funeral is 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Abbey Funeral Home, with interment following at Shelfer Cemetery in Havana.
