Police on hunt for cross-dressing bank robber

A Quincy bank was robbed this past week by a man dressed in drag, and law enforcement needs your help tracking down the blonde-wigged bandit.

Around 11:30 a.m. this past Friday, January 18, Quincy Police received a report of a robbery at Centennial Bank, 702 South Pat Thomas Parkway in Quincy. Bank personnel told investigators the alleged robber was disguised as a woman while perpetrating the crime, sporting a blonde wig, makeup and feminine sunglasses.

The suspect reportedly confronted one of the bank tellers and demanded money, before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators describe the suspect as a “black male” with a “distinct or distinguished chin.”

Quincy Police are seeking the public’s help with identifying and locating the suspect. If you think you can identify the subject in the surveillance image, or if you have any information that may prove valuable to investigators, call the Quincy Police Department at (850) 627-7111 and ask for Captain Robert Mixson or Investigator Shawn Boyd.
