Last week, Chattahoochee’s Cowen Public Library was briefly closed for renovations, and this week – it is the Quincy library’s turn to temporarily close the doors to patrons.
Quincy’s William A. McGill Public Library, located on Pat Thomas Parkway, will be temporarily closed through Wednesday, August 25 through Tuesday, August 31.
This closure, the Gadsden County Public Library Service says, is to allow working crews space and time to conduct renovations inside the Quincy library.
These renovations will include the recarpeting of the library.
During the library’s closure, the book drop-off box will remain open to patrons – but the library staff have already adjusted book due dates to reflect this closure.
While the library is closed for almost a week, patrons are invited to use the county library service’s online portal www2.youseemore.com/gadsden or visit the other two library branches in the county – Havana’s and Chattahoochee’s.
The Havana Public Library is located at 116 East 7th Avenue, and the Chattahoochee Public Library is located at 300 Maple Street.
