Senior Appreciation Day at Crystal Lake on April 12

A Senior Appreciation Day will take place at Crystal Lake from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 12.

Crystal Lake is located one mile north of the Florida-Georgia state line.

The event is free of charge and open to all the elderly in the area for a chance to get out, go fishing and have fun.

Seniors can look forward to:

• A health screening (blood pressure, diabetes, hearing and sight)

• Food and drinks

• Fishing (bring your own fishing gear)

• Fellowship with others

To get to Crystal Lake, take Highway 27 north until you turn left on Newnan Loop, then make another left at Strickland. Once you reach the dead end, make a quick right on Tynease Trail. Tiny’s Cabin will be straight ahead on the right.

For more information, call (850) 933-1000 or (850) 933-8740.
