Claire Taylor, a senior at Robert F. Munroe Day School in Quincy, was named the winner of the inaugural Friends of the Gadsden County Public Library’s Julia Munroe Woodward Essay Contest.
Taylor’s essay on the importance of school and community libraries earned her a $1,000 scholarship to the college or university of her choice.
