Year-round ballin’ at the Rec Center

De’Cody Fagg, director of the Quincy Parks and Recreation Department, said during the summer and fall the Joe Ferolito Recreation Center, 122 N. Graves St., Quincy, features open-gym basketball for anyone from throughout the county Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m.., except when the center is rented out for an event. There also are basketball leagues in the center during the winter. Inside the center, there also is a fitness center with free weights, fitness machines and treadmills for anybody 18 and above, open Monday through Friday between noon and 7 p.m.. During the fall, there are football leagues for boys ages 4-17, and a cheerleading program for young girls is at Corry Athletic Field, 1400 W. King St., across the street from the rec center. Registration is currently open for these two programs. In the spring, there are T-ball and baseball programs at Corry Athletic Field.
